That was then, this is now
This is the original St. Clair River Railroad tunnel built in 1891 and closed in 1995 when the new tunnel was opened.

Below is a video of a Canadian National (CN) Train going through the St. Clair River Train Tunnel between Port Huron, Michigan and Sarnia, Ontario. Back in the early 90’s when I was a brakeman on the Grand Trunk Railroad, I got to ride through this a few dozen times. If you look to the left of the tunnel, you can see the old tunnel from the picture shown above.
